Starting School With a Bully

Cover Art - The Bully Blockers ClubIf your child hasn't already started school, today maybe the first day of school as it is for so many children across the country. Hopefully, the adjustment to starting preschool, kindergarten, first grade or higher will be an easy one. For young kids who find reassurance in sharing picture books about starting school, I have compiled a list of recommended Picture Books About Starting School. I just reviewed and added a book to the list. The Bully Blockers Club is an excellent book about dealing with a bully that I recommend for kids in elementary school. If you are concerned that your child is being bullied (or acting like a bully) this is a good book to share. It's a reassuring book, with lots of good advice and can be used to encourage discussion. If you have middle school-age kids, I recommend The Skinny on Bullying. If you have a book for kids or teens about bullying that you'd like to recommend, please post information about it on Readers Respond.
