Review: Todd McHatton - Galactic Champions of Joy
Nov 8th 2011, 06:49

nullAfter you ponder that eye-grabbing album title, give Todd McHatton's latest kids' music release a listen or two or three. Galactic Champions of Joy is a musically dense, lyrically adventurouschunk of psychedelic pop that parents will love as much as, if not more than, their young rockers.

McHatton takes musical cues from the likes of Harry Nilsson, Weezer, Electric Light Orchestra, Paul McCartney, Stone Temple Pilots, and "I Am the Walrus"-era Beatles, among others, and creates his own unique brand of driving, swirling, and super catchy pop music full of imaginative characters. While you're at it, stop by Todd's website and check out the video for Galactic Champions of Joy's "Say Hello to My Hippo."
