Celebrate Hanukkah With Hanukkah Haiku

Cover art of the children's book Hanukkah HaikuI can't say I have ever thought of Hanukkah and the poetic form haiku together, but in the case of the children's Hanukkah book Hanukkah Haiku, the combination works well. With haiku poetry by Harriet Ziefert, plus joyous and colorful paintings by Karla Gudeon, Hanukkah Haiku tells the story of a family's Hanukkah activities and celebration. I recommend it for 3 to 6 year-olds. For a nonfiction book about Hanukkah, I recommend Celebrate Hanukkah. See my annotated list for additional recommended children's books about Hanukkah.
