Fiction and Nonfiction for Kids Who Like History Oct 3rd 2011, 00:53 If your middle school and/or upper elementary-age kids enjoy historical fiction, I have seven award-winning books to recommend. The books have each won one or more awards and/or been designated "notable books." The time periods covered are as recent as the 1960s and as long ago as the thirteenth century.
