The 2011 National Book Festival will be held on Saturday and Sunday, September 24-25, in Washington, DC. More than 100 authors who write for children, teens and/or adults will be on hand at the annual event, which is free and open to the public.
Among the many popular authors and illustrators of books for children and teens who will be there are Tom Angleberger, author of The Strange Case of Origami Yoda; Jane O'Connor, author of Fancy Nancy; and Cassandra Clare, author of The Mortal Instruments series for teens.
For more about who will be there and planned activities, see my FAQ about the 2011 National Book Festival. More than 100,000 people are expected to attend, so if you and your family want to go, it's time to start making plans.
