Kids Have the Jitters About Starting School? Aug 8th 2011, 23:07 Do your younger kids have the jitters about starting school or changing schools? If so, I have a couple of books to recommend. Although the titles are similar and both are reassuring picture books, First Day Jitters and First Grade Jitters are quite different in the author's approach. First Day Jitters is a humorous book with a big surprise at the end that will provide unexpected reassurance for the child who doesn't like change. First Grade Jitters, on the other hand, deals with a boy's specific worries about first grade and the reassurance he gets from his friends; it's a good book to share to get your own child to share any worries about first grade.
