Although Halloween is a part of the picture book Too Many Pumpkins, the focus of this heartwarming story is not on Halloween. Instead, the story is about an old woman who hates pumpkins. When she unintentionally grows a field of pumpkins, her ultimate response affects her whole community. Too Many Pumpkins by Linda White, with illustrations by Megan Lloyd, is a good picture book for fall and especially fun to share with your kids whenever you are serving pumpkin pie or another pumpkin treat.
