What's Up With 2 Wimpy Kid DIY Books? Oct 19th 2011, 00:01 Why are there two Wimpy Kid DIY books with two different titles? The Diary of a Wimpy Kid series by Jeff Kinney is enormously popular and kids love the combination of writing and cartoons in the books. The Diary of a Wimpy Kid: Do-It-Yourself Book was published in 2008 and is filled with writing and illustrating prompts, as well as lots of space for young writers and illustrators to put their own words and pictures. The latest version has a new cover and a new title. The Wimpy Kid Do-It-Yourself Book was published in 2011 and has lots of extras not found in the first Wimpy Kid DIY book.
