It's
Kansas Reads to Preschoolers 2011 this week, and I am one of the many volunteers visiting preschools, childcare centers and daycare homes to read this year's special book,
Chicka Chicka Boom Boom. After sharing the book this morning with both large and small groups of young children, I was again reminded about what a terrific read aloud
Chicka Chicka Boom Boom is. Kids love the rhyme and the rhythm of this entertaining children's alphabet book, as well as the colorful illustrations. They particularly enjoy joining in and repeating the words "Chicka, Chicka Boom Boom." If you have small children, I think you'll find that they enjoy, and want to hear again and again,
Chicka Chicka Boom Boom. The picture book was written by Bill Martin Jr, a Kansan, and John Archambault and illustrated by Lois Ehlert.
