Non-traditional versions of familiar fairy tales tend to be popular with kids. A version of a fairy tale with elements of a western done in graphic novel format is apt to be even more popular. Make it based on the story of Rapunzel and you have Rapunzel's Revenge, by Shannon and Dean Hale, with illustrations by Nathan Hale, recommended for kids in middle school and younger, ages 10-14.
