Town and Country Kids' Music: Laura Doherty and Spiral Up Kids Feb 18th 2012, 12:50 Everyone has their own perspective, even in the kids' music arena. Laura Doherty celebrates the wonders of Chicago and big towns in general with her CD Kids in the City, while Spiral Up Kids' self-titled album expounds on the joys of more rural settings. Kids in the City was Windy City-based Doherty's 2009 kids' music debut, which she followed up with 2011's Shining Like a Star. Spiral Up Kids also released their first CD for children in 2009, the eponymous Spiral Up Kids, and the band continue to tour their native Hudson Valley and environs.
